Beast and the Blog

dh: "What are you doing?"
me: "Blogging."
dh: "You have a blog?"
me: "Yeah."
dh: "Wow," and, with a smirk, "maybe you need a life, or better yet, a job. What does 'dh' stand for?"
me: "What do you think?"
dh: "Uh...dickhead?"

Hubby decided to read my blog one night. I was not thrilled. My writing is never read by anyone in my family. Hubby has never read any of my writing. I think he's tried, but since it doesn't contain the words "Luke Skywalker," "the Republic,""Ford Mustang," or "Nicole Kidman" he quickly loses interest. I told him he shouldn't read it, I'm not particularly nice to him, but he was a pretty good sport.

I told him I didn't want him to read it. He pointed out that everyone else can read it, why not him? Besides, he could go to work and find it online and read it anyway. A valid point. So, does anyone in your family read your blog?

Not that I know of. I gave the link to my dad when he asked (no bad dad rants from me) and my husband visits once in a blue moon.

I'm not sure my dh knows what a blog is....

NO WAY. *big grin*

I've only blogged about my hubby once and told him about it after the fact. =)I just tell him it's an on-line journal and that's that to him.

I don't think my husband even knows I have a website. :) He's more interested in SportsCenter. Fine by me!

My husband is fairly certain I blog about him and that it's likely not too complimentary, so I think he pretends I'm not doing it.

No one in my family even knows I have one. Not that it would make much difference since I'm hiding behind my alter ego. *g*

Of course, if my mom saw it, she might recognize the picture of her mother I've got iin my banner....

Too many people read it, like my teenagers. So, I've pretty much stopped writing in it, and I post vacation pics instead. I need an anomymous blog to write in. Hmm.... what am I waiting for?

My husband reads my blog every day. So does my sister. Sometimes they even post comments in it, which I DO NOT ENCOURAGE. But they read it all the time.

My husband knows I blog about him, but he doesn't read my blog. But my mother does - in fact, just yesterday she said - 'I don't understand anything you write about, but the people who visit seem to understand what you're saying. I think you're all a little nuts.' *ggg*

I don't have to worry about my mom reading my blog. The Internet is a big scary monster. She doesn't have a clue how to get online. I don't think my hubby cares. I bag on him, but he pretty much deserves it.

Nope. No family reads my blog. I can't decide whether I'm grateful or irritated.

Rene - my dh knows about my blog, though it took him a while to figure it out *g*. I don't mind if he reads it, well, except then he might realize I procrastinate from time to time! Still, it doesn't bother me. He reads my mss for me and brainstorms plot points.

I've told Sean the address of my blog but he says he's not really interested in reading it. As far as he's concerned, as long as it doesn't interfere with my actual fiction writing, it doesn't make much difference to anything else I do out on the Web :-)

As for the rest of my family, I'm not sure they've clued in to my blog. They could find it if they followed links from my family photo blog, but I've no idea if any of them have ever done that. Doubt most would be interested. But I wouldn't care if they did.

My mom admitted that she reads my LJ from time to time, and my husband reads it religiously. In fact, almost everyone in my life reads mine, and if I know their URLS, I read theirs too.
