"Beauty and the Geek"

Now that "Deadwood" and "Desperate Housewives" are done for the season, I have to find something to fill in the dead space. So I Tivo'd "Beauty and the Geek" and watched it last night. Oh boy. Talk about low brow. Please tell me this show is a set up and these women aren't that stupid. Among the questions missed:

Who was president during the Civil War? (the woman said Hoover)
Which president was a govenor of Arkansas?
Name three states that start with "New." (the only one she could name was New Mexico)
What is the capital of New England?

How in the world do they survive? Can they balance a checkbook? Do they need to? All of them were so self-involved, I can't imagine being stuck in a house with them.

The guys were true geeks. I felt bad for the one guy because he was a pure nerd. Three of them admitted to being virgins. One was the V.P. of the Dukes of Hazard fan club. He deserves celibacy.

Dukes of Hazzard fan club? Oh my. We used to watch that show every Friday night. When I saw it years later, I thought, we actually watched that? What was wrong with us?

Sometimes I wonder how "rigged" those shows are. Maybe they really did know more than that, but they're paid to look stupid? I wonder...

I somehow watched this show, and I was torn. Parts of it were very sweet, and parts just too over the top for me.

I declined to watch that show. I feel that someone is really desparate to have themselves on the show. As for New Mexico at least someone out there knows that we are a state. (East of Illinois ) no offense people they think we aren't a state and we have been one since 1911. Maybe she knew where NM was since all the big stars are buying houses up near Taos and Sante Fe. (Julia Roberts, Ted Turner, etc. )
